As more and more companies bring out newer and newer versions of their phones, it becomes critical to not just toss your phone into the trash. Something that you should consider before just chucking your phone is cell phone recycling. So far, I have bought the iphone 3, 3gs, and now 4. Nothing is more frustrating than hearing that they are already talking about the iphone 5!!! That said, I know I am not alone, and you should also consider an environmentally friendly solution to this ever changing issue.
Most of the phones out on the market are still not good enough to be resold on ebay or any other secondary market… so please be considerate of the environment and utilize a solution that is good for the planet. Tossing your old phone into the trash doesn’t help anyone. Not the earth, not the trash man, not the landfill, and especially not someone else who could have been able to take advantage of that phone. Do your homework before you purchase your next phone, and make sure the next version of that phone isn’t in the development stage already. And take the extra few minutes to search for green solutions on how to take care of that old phone.
As always… get your green on.
